Abstract: Thrombin as a hemostatic drug can be extracted from blood. Because there are more than 100 plasma proteins in blood, it is natural for thrombin to contain some plasma proteins. α-2 macroglobulin is one of the important plasma proteins and it can pavilion and protect trypsin. Soybean trypsin inhibitors are used to inactivate the trypsin that can not be pavilioned, and then the activity of α-2 macroglobulin included in the thrombin mixture is detected by using the special substance-BAPNA. It shows that the thrombin extracted from blood does contain the α-2 macroglobulin. This work provides some guidance for thrombin purification.
