An appraisal of the Yangtze River Delta eco-green integrated development demonstration zone

Abstract：On October 25, 2019, the "Overall Plan of the Yangtze River Delta Eco-Green Integrated Development Demonstration Zone" was approved by the State Council, marking the initiation of the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta. In this paper, the green development of the Yangtze River Delta eco-green integrated development demonstration zone is appraised through an evaluation index system. Six suggestions are made for the demonstration zone: establish an inter-governmental coordination mechanism; unify environmental management standards and strengthen information sharing; develop green finance; establish a benefit-oriented industrial transfer mechanism; establish a mechanism for realizing the value of ecological products; and promote technological progress.
