在2007年第1期《科技导报》发表作者“2006年中国重大科学进展”的基础上，本着“分门别类、宁缺毋滥、叙述事实、以时为序”的原则，按“技术”和“工程”2个类别，遴选出2006年中国重大技术进展14项、重大工程进展10项。

Following the article “Important Advances of Science in China in 2006”, published in the first issue 2007 of Science and Technology Review, with the same principles of evaluating within each branch, putting quality before quantity, and giving facts in time order, 14 important technological achievements and 10 important engineering achievements in China in 2006 were selected and introduced in this paper.
