Abstract:Marine meterology is important to global climate and meteorological disaster. We summarize the development in weather processes and mechanisms which influenced the climate of East Asia in 2020, including the Meiyu front, monsoon, tropical cyclone, air-sea fluxes, and storm surge. We also discuss the future hotspots in marine meterology.
