空间科学与深空探测是牵引世界航天活动和当代科学研究迈向“四极”的重要途径。主要依据国际最具影响力期刊的空间科学亮点成果,概略梳理了2024年全球空间科学重要进展,特别是美国韦布望远镜在揭示宇宙早期演化、系外行星研究方面取得新突破,嫦娥任务月球样品揭示月球更早历史,冰卫星渐成国际深空探测新热点等尤值关注。中国启动载人登月任务,并将实施天问三号火星采样返回,或将重塑全球空间科学和探索格局;欧洲发布至2040年对地观测战略,美国发布2024版太阳与空间物理十年规划,中国发布首个国家空间科学中长期发展规划(2024—2050年),更是意义重大、影响深远。
