Since the 1980’s, international strategic alliance has become a very popular form for co-operation between firms. Because of the complexity of technologies and the interdisciplinary fields, it is used more often in the large-scale R&D projects. In this paper, the author summarized the factors and forms of international alliance of large-scale R&D projects in foreign countries, argued the importance of international alliance for large-scale R&D projects in China.
