Study on Ecological Vegetation Changes in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region |
|
|
Abstract: Variability of vegetation is one of the important indices for regional eco-environment. The variation of vegetation during a certain number of years directly reflects the variability trend of vegetation eco-environment with time. On the basis of previous researches and the quantitative remote sensing results, in this paper the variability trend of NDVI from 1982 to 2004 in Ningxia area is studied by using GIMMS NDVI data and MODIS data. According to the result, the variability trend of NDVI in most areas was in rising from 1982-1999. However, due to less diverted water volume of the Yellow River, the NDVI was in declining after 2000.
