Abstract: The mice were exposed to 60Co γ-rays at 6 Gy, and took orally Brassica Rapa L. powder and ointment. The weight, spleen, RBC, WBC, PLT, thymus and the micronucleus were measured. The results show that the powder made no difference on the weight of the mice between radiated and normal groups, but the index of spleen of the group with small dose of B. Rapa powder was significantly increased as compared with the model group. The middle and high dose groups see no difference in the immune function of spleen and thymus of mice. The platelets of all groups were increased, which shows that the B. Rapa powder can help to repair the function of immunity and blood injured by radiation. The micronucleus rate of PCE of all remedy groups were significantly decreased as compared with the model group (P<0.05). It is shown that B. Rapa powder and B. Rapa ointment can help the protection against radiation and B. Rapa powder and B. Rapa ointment have similar effects in this respect.
