  Mr. Qian Xuesen is the founder of China's systems engineering theory. According to the experience of China's aerospace industry, he summed up the systems engineering methods with Chinese characteristics, and further developed the theories of system science architecture and meta-synthesis method, etc. By reviewing development process of Qian Xuesen's thought on systems engineering, we can not only understand his thought on systems engineering correctly, but also find out guide and methods for developing SOS engineering.

  In this Paper, after systematic analysis on set of organic characteristics of organic system in nature, organic characteristics are integrated into the concept of systems of system vitality, and after combining artificial intelligence and its relevant information technology, a technical framework which makes the set of organic characteristics directed emergency in engineering technology SoS is proposed. The theoretical framework of SoS vitality provides theoretical guidance in improving system stability and availability, and promoting system ability on optimization and selective evolvability.

  Model-based Systems Engineering is a new trend in the current Chinese industry It adopts model-based approaches to formalize the system development and minimize the risk brought by design changes of the later development phase. The model-based approaches can be used for across domain integrations of the whole life cycle of products. Though MBSE has been widely used in specific domains, such as software, mechanical systems and electric systems, the system-level integration has not been realized. This paper introduces the results of questionnaires about MBSE application in China. The results can be used for current system developers to understand MBSE and its trends.

  This paper briefly introduced the necessary steps of tailoring during the application of systems engineering. There are two levels of tailoring:organization-level tailoring and project-level tailoring. A practical tailoring strategy is proposed, cutting unnecessary processes/activities and tasks at first, then adjusting or calibrating in accordance with precise needs. On the basis of references of mature methods, some mistakes and traps are listed to be avoided. At last, in the light of tailoring strategies, a series of domain cases are analyzed from the view of systems engineering application. These research results could be reference for the proper application of systems engineering in the new domains.

  According to the requirement analysis of military helicopter, the concerned task simulation scenery was set. Then, the developing secondly to motion simulation and logical simulation software by XML language was applied to establish the simulation demonstration model for the scenery deduction and logical function demonstration. The verification approach for battle scenery simulation model was proposed and the simulation model was proved by taking the example of the helicopter attacking tank battles exercised and deducted in various countries. The military helicopter design weight pre hierarchical evaluation method was built and an optimization method design oriented military helicopter operational mission index to technique specification was presented. The system operational performance index was transformed into helicopter flight performance index using optimization method taking the example of the effect of early warning helicopter on the formation of destroyer.

  Using the acoustic wave gauge to measure the wave height is the main means for the submarine to obtain the weather information of the sea. Concerning the complexity of the effecting factors on measuring the wave under the environment of submarine movement, this paper analyzes the working principle, environment of underwater wave and the influencing factors of wave error of submarine movement by using the theory of wave spectrum, gives out the methods of submarine measuring waving height based on dynamic wavemeasuring and carries out the verifications by simulation experiment.

  Landing ship is an important transport equipment in amphibious warfare. Aiming at the complexity of its motion law, a maneuvering model of landing ship based on MMG is established in deep and shallow water. When a landing ship is sailing, the thrust of the propeller is the main force, which is used to overcome the resistance of the water and maintain the maneuvering motion of the ship. Therefore, the hydrodynamic model of propeller is an important component of landing ship motion modeling. On the basis of the special maneuvering model of landing ship, the model of propeller force in maneuvering motion of landing ship is emphatically introduced.
